Padmapa Fellowship

The project school has been established at Ngagyur Sangchen Padma Woedling Gonpa at Samphung village of Kalaktang with the objective of educating the Buddhist novice monks and poor and destitute children of the area Kalaktang and other.

The proposed School is already having the following infrastructure created by Padmapa Fellowship, Kalaktang which can be utilized for running of Residential School.

1. Hostel building for 30 students.
2. Prayer hall.
3. Administrative block .
  (a) Head Master’s room with attached toilet .
  (b) Teacher’s Room with Toilets.
4. Dinning Cum Kitchen .
5. Class rooms .
6. Ground for Programme.

Objectives

Coordinate and administer the development, management and sustenance of Ngagyur Sangchen Pema Woedling Gonpa, its events and associated institutions and activities. ​ Sustain and continue the tradition of providing opportunities for education, study and practice of Buddhism and its traditions along with the modern education which is essential in today’s livelihood. ​

Padmapa Fellowship

Padmapa Fellowship is a Not for profit organization, which hereafter is designated the Fellowship. The Fellowship shall operate for the development and sustainable management of Ngagyur Sangchen Pema Woedling Gonpa and its institution and in pursuit of the Buddha Dharma in general and the Dujom Tersar tradition in particular.

Tibetan literature and paintings

The societies organizes open class on Himalayan Bhoti Buddhist literature and painting styles in the Kalaktang Residential School.

Siddhi Dung Drub

The society perform The 1000 million Veza Guru mantra as its annual Puja for seven days where many people from different came and participated.

Go Green Go Clean

The society also oranises a programme where the members of the society gethered and clean the campus area in and around the Gonpa and planted trees.

Institutional Framework

Padma Woedling Nyingma School

Padma Woedling Nyingma School shall provide quality education with life-skill formation among children. The students of this school shall complete their Primary and Secondary Education and are expected to perform academically better than their counterparts in the public and private sector schools. They will achieve an exceptional confidence level for access to life and career opportunities which could otherwise would not have been available to them.

Need and significance

Kalaktang is situated in the backward, tribal and border area resided by the Buddhist minorities and backward scheduled tribes. Here large chunk of rural population is reeling under the burden of poverty. Hence, people in the rural areas of Kalaktang have least access to educational opportunity. Hence, they must be provided with special assistance by the civil society for their educational and cultural upliftment.
